Gaja Vittoria’s 2026 season unfolds around Rossini, Baroque repertoire and a growing interest in rarely performed works.
As Ernestina in L’occasione fa il ladro, she appeared at the Kraków Philharmonic under J. Brusa and at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad under A. Fogliani and J. M. Pérez-Sierra. She also sang the role of Lucia in Rossini’s La gazza ladra at the Kraków Opera under J. M. Pérez-Sierra and at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad, in a production recorded by OperaVision.
At the Kraków Philharmonic, she also performed Teresa in Emilio Arrieta’s zarzuela Marina, again under the direction of J. M. Pérez-Sierra.
Her exploration of Baroque repertoire continued with her debut as Aminta in Vivaldi’s L’Olimpiade at the Teatro Comunale Mario del Monaco in Treviso, with I Sonatori de la Gioiosa Marca under the direction of F. Fanna. The season also included the role of Zeffiro in Alessandro Stradella’s La Circe – Bei Ruscelli Cristallini under the direction of A. De Carlo. Her performances in this repertoire have highlighted her vocal virtuosity and expressive intensity.
The 2025 season included her debut as Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the TU Orchester Wien, alongside a continued engagement with contemporary music. In Vienna, she performed Kurt Schmid’s modern oratorio Ode an das Leben with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra. Further appearances included the Innsbruck Festival, the Ruse March Music Days in Bulgaria and the ZukunftsStimmen competition founded by Elīna Garanča, where she was a finalist. At Vienna’s Borromäus Saal, she performed Haydn’s Scena di Berenice with the VielHarmoniker orchestra as part of a benefit concert.
In 2024, she received a Special Prize at the Cesti Competition and sang the title role in the modern premiere of Fux’s oratorio Regina Saba at the Austrian Academy of Sciences under the direction of Stefan Gottfried, a project for which she was awarded the Fux Prize. The same year, she was selected for the Accademia Vivaldi of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, where she further developed her knowledge of historical performance practice in Baroque music.
Alongside opera and oratorio, chamber music forms an important part of her artistic work. Together with pianist Alessandro Del Gobbo, she creates thematic programmes such as DE MULIERIBUS: Donne, Streghe e Sirene and Souvenirs d’Europe, combining repertoire exploration with a strong narrative dimension. These programmes have been presented at festivals including Carniarmonie, the Festival Internazionale di Musica Sacra, Mittelcult and Filosofia in Città.
