Hailed by Online Musik Magazine as “unbelievably agile”, Gaja Vittoria’s repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music. Her artistic identity unites performance and research, with a particular dedication to rarely performed works and the revival of music by women composers.

In 2025, she made her debut as Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) with TU Orchester in Vienna. The same year, she was a finalist in Elīna Garanča’s ZukunftsStimmen Competition and performed at Bulgaria’s Ruse March Music Days Festival, as well as in a charity concert at Vienna’s Borromäus Saal, where she sang Haydn’s Scena di Berenice with the VielHarmoniker Orchestra.

In 2024, she received a Special Prize at the Cesti Competition and sang the title role in the modern premiere of Fux’s Regina Saba, conducted by Stefan Gottfried at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, earning the Fux Prize. That same year, she was selected for the Accademia Vivaldi at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice.

Gaja Vittoria also collaborated with the University of Sydney on the international research project Belcanto Rediscovered, contributing to the Beautiful Singing in Vienna symposium. Her work focused on emulating historical recordings to better understand and revive 19th-century vocal aesthetics and performance practices.

Passionate about both operatic and lied repertoire, she has presented themed art song recitals in duet with pianist Alessandro Del Gobbo, including DE MULIERIBUS: donne, streghe e sirene and Souvenirs d’Europe, at several festivals such as Carniarmonie, Festival Internazionale di Musica Sacra, Mittelcult, and Filosofia in Città.

In 2021, she joined the Rossini in Wildbad Festival Academy and sang Despina in a cinematic version of Così fan tutte directed by Mauro Trombetta. She made her stage debut as Despina at Teatro Savoia in Campobasso in 2020.

In 2019, she performed Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) at Teatro Comunale di Pergine Valsugana, Giannetta (L’elisir d’amore) with Piccolo Opera Festival FVG and Jerusalem Opera, covered Isabella (L’inganno felice) at Panicale Opera Festival, and sang Serpina (La serva padrona) at Cantiere all’Opera.

Her awards include 3rd Prize at the Seghizzi Lied Competition, the “Schiller” Special Prize for Lied at the SOI Fiorenza Cedolins Competition, and finalist placement at the Salice d’Oro Competition.

Born in Udine, Italy, she began her musical path as a violinist before earning a Master’s in Opera from the Conservatorio “J. Tomadini”. She later completed a second Master’s in Lied & Oratorio at the MDW University in Vienna.
